This is a classic tactic, but it is worth going over again. Finding competitors backlinks and then pitching for the same links is a great way to scale up your link building efforts. To find these links, you need to find the right prospects.
To do this, you can use the Open Site Explorer tool from Moz. I would recommend that you create a Moz account so you can do multiple searches. If you can afford the pro account, then you will receive the full data on your competitors backlink history.
You should be able to compile a list of hundreds or even thousands of backlink prospects. The chances that they will link to you is higher because they have already linked out to your competitor.
